What were you expecting from the player who was England's best DLP for most of his career, and has been criticised for not being Gerrard and Lampard, when he was better partner for both than they were for each other? His job is to recycle possession and restart the attack, and he's been doing it for Man U as soon as he arrived, and he did it really well. The fact he can't get selected for England has everything to do with the way the English view the sport, and not any slight on his ability.
