Why would you play Hazard in the middle?

It would be more like a second-striker than a distributor, similar to what Aguero does at Man City. Basically, they had two LWs and I had to put one of them somewhere else.

Very overrated. Good players who are fun to watch but I don't consider them a threat.

As much as it kills me to say, since I'm a Man United fan, Fellaini and Janusaj arn't going to start. I'm having that feeling that Fellaini is going to turn into a Carrick (not really living up to expectations) for United. I think Janusaj shows potential, but not sure hes better than Miralles.

Alderwiereld-Kompany-Vertoghen-Vermaelen
----------Dembele--Defour
---Miralles---De Bruyne----Hazard

Right...They only went 8-2-0 in their UEFA WCQ group with road wins at Croatia, Serbia, and Wales.

If you don't have once in a generation transcendent attacking talent, you need to be disciplined and solid defensively. Belgium's midfield doesn't impress me defensively and their back 4 is going to be 4 center backs.
Look, I'd love to be wrong. I like watching new teams make runs, it's always more fun. I just see quarter finals as their ceiling.

Same here. They are unproven on the big stage for me to think serious title contender.
I hope I'm wrong. They're going to be fun to watch.

If they had Benteke they could really force their physicality on teams. If the axis of Dembele and Defour plays well, their should be plentiful supply to their front four. I'm interested who plays in the hole behind the striker. There is no way that De Bruyne starts considering that Mirallas, Mertens, and Hazard had absolutely superb seasons at their clubs. He has to be the bench option. The attack trio of Mertens, Mirallas, and Hazard can play at any of the positions behind the Striker, and can be productive from each position. A lot depends on if they can get the support needed from their full-backs, as Defour is fairly static, and Dembele is a superb dribbler from deep. They need the wide outlets because if they are fluid in the three positions behind the striker, their width will have to come from the fullbacks. It will be interesting to see how they line up.

This discussion could be a whole different topic, but I don't think he has made the impact everyone thought he would when he was signed. Now I know the position he playes isn't the sexiest, but when coming over from Tottenham I was expecting a little bit more.

This is absolute madness. What were you expecting from the player who was England's best DLP for most of his career, and has been criticised for not being Gerrard and Lampard, when he was better partner for both than they were for each other? His job is to recycle possession and restart the attack, and he's been doing it for Man U as soon as he arrived, and he did it really well. The fact he can't get selected for England has everything to do with the way the English view the sport, and not any slight on his ability.

Sorry Chelsea, looks like the Guardian broke the story a tad bit early.

I think he's better on the wing, where he's played most of the season for Chelsea and where he's played more for Belgium.
