Arsenal again have the most expensive match-day ticket in the Premier League at £97.

More people with more money in London and more tourists go to London than Manchester. It isn't hard to figure out.

97 pounds is like 150.00? That isn't bad for the best seat in the house.

throw in another 35 to 40 pounds for the one off membership fee and that wont even get you the best seat in the place since most of those are either season ticket or club seats. Arsenal club seats are omggggg crazy expensive, like the cheapest are upwards of 1k

I had a friend visit who wanted to go to the Liverpool match at Arsenal. Once we looked at it we said frick that. Cheaper to take the train and spend the night in Manchester.

I think lowering ticket prices for Arsenal fans would be a great idea, but in the dispassionate pragmatism that the club appears to inhabit (or makes a great effort to inhabit), they'll just continue to point to demand and say their prices are justified.

Regardless, I'm wary of the current Arsenal ownership, as I'm worried Kroneke is going to use Arsenal as an equity vehicle in some other transaction associated with the Rams, either for a stadium in LA or a stadium in St. Louis. If he does I hope he dies of rectal cancer.

It's already a sham that we built this stadium with extremely poor financial planning, basically ensuring the stocks owned by the boardmembers wouldn't take a hit. The idea that we should secure the financing with long term debt and make the top four every season was literally built on the idea that Wenger could get us to CL football every season. The decision to take long term debt was basically to ensure that the boardmembers equity didn't take a hit, which it didn't. That's not a strategy. That's dumb luck. Not only that, the idiotic idea to name the stadium Emirates first has basically made the stadium associated with that name, so there is little point in charging them for the name now that it is associated with the company so closely.

Now we are hoarding 200 mil in the bank for no discernible reason, a bank balance that we've had for the better part of two years, and one that doesn't seem to be tied to transfer funds. I don't understand the reasons for it. That amount of money could pay off the rest of the stadium debt and pay for potential upgrades.

Basically I don't think the club knew what it was doing in terms of finances until very recently. Our whole strategy for a god damn decade was for Wenger to get us to the CL places. So I don't expect the club to ever be reasonable about ticket prices.
