Busquets is a known diver and an embarrassment to the game.

Lets keep this in mind on the penalty.

Statutes and rules have just as many interpretation issues as the Constitution. #lawskoolnerd

haters gonna hate
Busquets didn't dive in this instance. He got shoved down. Puyol played a role in that, but he didn't grab Busquets jersey or ride him to the ground. If that exact scenario happened in every game, it would be called pretty often.

Milan didn't deserve to be in that game at all. Barca was average (for them) and still dominated a lazy Milan side.

Well Barca are obviously the better team, they are the best in the world.

I just have a hard time supporting a team, that when they are faced with superior tactics, they fall down and cry like little girls.

Not according to the commentators.

Fact is Barca and Milan both scored only 1 goal during the run of play, while Barca was awarded 2 penalties: one which spawned this thread and the other "more legitimate" foul, which was not called at the other end for Milan when Ibra was tackled in similar fashion.

Say what you will, but it's no surprise Barca received favorable officiating.

Are you really gonna criticize AC Milans style of play when the player who was "fouled" was Sergio Busquets? Busquets is one of the most infamous divers, cheaters, and whiners in world football. And as pretty as barca can play at times they're one of the worst teams in the world when it comes to diving and milking fouls and injuries

Impossible. Absolutely, inequivocally impossible.

How is that?

I hate Barcelona's bullshite as much as anyone, and I really like Milan, but after I saw the replay, I had no problems with the PK. It was soft, but it wasn't an incorrect call. If Nesta doesn't hold the shirt, there's no penalty called.

It'd be like if LeBron traveled on a game winner and the ref called it. It's not called all that often in the NBA, but that doesn't make it a wrong call. Don't break the rules and you don't have to worry about it.

That said, I hate Barca, if only for Busquets, Mascherano, and Alves. I actually quite enjoy Iniesta, Xavi, and Messi, whose greatnesses are so extreme that they need not resort to being pussies.

Exactly, and there are many Barca players that play a solid game, and get right back up when they are fouled.

Barca fans are more annoying than anything, yes they are the best in the world right now, and rather unchallenged but that will all change with time. It always does. You can always tell which club has the most bandwagon fans, because they are always the arrogant ones. Longtime barca fans are probably pretty cool.

Umm barca doesn't advance if they give AC the pk and don't give the stupid one against them

Also barcelona wouldn't have scored the 3rd goal if AC weren't having to attack because of the bad penalty awarded

Milan didn't get any referee help.

Barca, on the other hand, received two penalties.

If no penalties, Milan advances.

He is talking about the previous round against Arsenal. And Barca certainly got it last year with the Van Persie crap and a very soft penalty against Arsenal.
