I got the email from USSF on this. It says I should pay $45 to become a "premium insider" to have a better chance at getting tickets. Should I? I've never been to a WCQ match.

At Austin FCs stadium or Longhorn Stadium?

I imagine Austin's as Jamaica isn't really a massive match up

I signed up as a standard insider so I could get tickets to the game in Nashville. I got them just fine. They were about 100 bucks each and are pretty close to Midfield in the lower bowl. Standard insider is free and you get access to tickets still before the general public.

Based on this tweet, yes. But that $45 membership is actually the lowest priority.

Happy to help. That said they are allocating tickets differently for this game than the Nashville game, with the lottery, so just make sure you’re reading all the deets about how that works. But yeah getting my tickets early for no added cost was pretty sweet.

Go read the link I posted. Completely different system for Austin tickets. Will be a "weighted lottery" based on what group you are a member of.

With Nashville and Austin confirmed, where do we think the other 5 Octagonal home games will be played?

Gotta think Columbus is getting the Mexico game in their new stadium. Cincinnati is definitely getting one in their new stadium.

I’m guessing Kansas City and Denver (Commerce City) get one. Then one of Portland, Frisco, Orlando, or Philadelphia for the last one. Maybe San Jose, for the right team.

I doubt any games are played near cities with lots of immigrants after the disaster of the Costa Rica home game in New Jersey last cycle. That was embarrassing for US Soccer. Can’t ever allow a crowd for a home qualifier to be like that again.

They've been hosting a good bit, have a great stadium, and hosted last cycle when we beat Honduras maybe 4-0.

Doubtful since they'd have to lay a grass pitch over the turf. I can't remember if US Soccer has ever held a WCQ qualifier in Portland or Seattle.

Seattle did for the 14 cycle I believe, and they did lay down natural grass for the game. With the recent remodel to Portland's stadium, I could see them looking but honestly there's so many shiny new stadiums to play in I don't think it'll happen.
