Just straight up refusal to do any passing through the middle. It’s why our wingers are constantly trying to perform miracle 2v1s.

I know it’s a preseason game and all, but this is EXACTLY the script we’ve had for the last 2 years:
We hold the ball, generate some corners, get nothing out of anything, then the other team gets a stupid goal because we are doing dumb shite. Just 0 creativity, pass it to the winger, pass it back to Odegaard, back to the cornerback, switch to other CB, pass to winger, pass back to rice, and just repeat the cycle until one of the wingers try’s a 2v1 or we put in a useless cross

I agree the offense is predicated and putrid. Even the halftime crew called us out for it. Zero shots on goal

Normally I would agree if not for playing the same exact way we have for awhile. We still struggle to break down defensive blocks because we just pass around it hoping for a miracle

As discussed in another thread Martinelli is part of the problem and not the solution. 10,000 dribbles, 1000 passes, and 100 turnovers per goal. Zero creativity and virtually same attack every time. He should get a yellow card for time wasting. We were immediately better when he was subbed.

Also, I’m begging to try overlapping on fullbacks. It kills me seeing Saka and Martinelli just hanging out on the touchline while we’ve got nothing but defenders and Kai in the middle of the pitch. Let them play in the middle of the park and try some different shite

Feel like we got a lot of this when Benny was healthy two seasons ago. Him and saka on that right hand side was fun to watch
