No way someone is paying that for Jesus coming off an ACL and those wages. We are more likely to just cancel his contract and let him go play in Brazil. Unless the Saudi’s want him for some reason.

Still only 28, and he’s been great when healthy. Someone would take a chance I think

They won’t cancel his contract, he’s a ton more valuable than Tomi

Saying maybe flamengo on loan with buy option.

But I don’t buy it. They are in the middle of their season. It ends in December. I don’t see how getting him now helps them. Maybe in the January window.

I’m tired of loans, just sell him outright or do an obligation with the loan

Arsenal putting a 30 million valuation on Jesus so hopefully they are proving me very wrong. I forgot the Brazil teams all reached the knockouts of the Club World Cup and got like $150 million total.

According to SkillCorner data, Gyokeres made 85 sprints in behind the opposition defensive line last season, which are defined as runs at an average pace of 25km/h or more. That was more than double any other striker in the same league; Samu Aghehowa (Porto) was closest with 41, and 24 more than Nicolas Jackson who led the Premier League in that same metric. As referenced in this Scouted Football breakdown, no other forward in Europe could match his sprint repeatability (nearly 20 per game) and only five strikers were able to reach their top speed quicker, highlighting his almost robotic desire to keep going and going.

quote:

Gyokeres took 25 shots following a successful take on last season which was bettered by only three players across Europe’s top five leagues: Lamine Yamal, Vincius Jr and Jamie Gittens – who are all wingers.

He welcomes that isolation and not only can he create chances for himself. Only Mohamed Salah, Vinicius Jr and Jeremy Doku averaged more carries into the penalty area per 90 last season than Gyokeres (3.11) – but platform others who could exploit the space and chaos he leaves behind. It’s worth noting that Arsenal were one of the worst top flight teams when it came to converting high turnovers into shots and goals last season, could the Swede add some much-needed conviction in those situations?

First window we’ve signed 2 1st team attackers (wingers/forwards) since summer of 2019.

Let’s go close Eze and make a season out of it

Man Eze 10 would be nasty. At this current moment he's better than Odegaard IMO but I think he would come here and start immediately over Martinelli. We need a fluid attacking 4 and I think him coming would do that.

I feel confident with quite literally any of:

Saka
Martinelli
Trossard
Noni
Odegaard
Nwaneri
Ezi

Big Vic/Havertz, hell even Havertz at 8 and playing a 442 against stubborn teams to break them down with movement and aerial ability

Oh man I can't fricking wait for this season

The addition of Eze, Noni and Gyorkeres gives you fluidity, pace and ball carrying that we just haven’t had before.

I look for us to not be as aggressive with the pressing this year and play more of a mid block trap so we can take advantage of the turnovers and counter immediately. I also think you legitimately see a lot more 11s without Odegaard

If we can get Eze and Resign Saka & Saliba, I’d say it’s damn near a perfect summer window for the club

Is everyone forgetting how bad Odi’s injury was? He came back too early and it showed. Last few matches of the season he finally got his legs. I think Eze is a great player, but I don’t think he’s a signing that makes Arsenal better. Every other signing does. Zubamendi is better than Partey, Noorgard is better than Jorginho, Madeuke is one of the best ever English youth players. He was Chelsea’s second best attacker.

Eze is better than Trossard, and probably better than Martinelli, and I’d argue in what we lack in the team (ball carriers) he is better than Odegaard.

If you ran out a midfield of Zubi, Rice, Eze, it’s better for what we need than Zubi, Rice Odegaard. It allows rice to play on the right in his advanced role that he’s been playing, he can overlap Saka, and he’s a much more powerful shooter and crosser than Odegaard in the right half spaces.

If they sign Eze, and Nwaneri keeps coming on, and Dowman becomes what we think he will, the writing is on the wall for Odegaard. I’m not saying he doesn’t have a place currently on this team, but he’s probably the least physically gifted guy we run out there, and he is incredibly 1 footed, which limits where he can play.

If they do get Eze, and with the Noni, & Gyorkeres signings, it signals to me that we are planning and able to play in different ways than we have in the last 2 seasons, which is what we need. It gets too predictable

Saliba
Calafiori
MLS
Zubi
Merino
Nwaneri
Saka
Trossard
Havertz

Still no Gabriel & Timber, which is fine, need them healthy, no Mosquera either

Gyorkeres already at the Stadium
