I mean if you are willing to pay millions a VAR official or ref would be nothing and cheap. They clearly bought the VAR guy

You need a goal so you bring on a fullback?

Isn't Trossard fit? Nelson, Vieira? Arteta what is this.

He pushed him in the chest, it’s a foul, but never a red

Subs too late today, we had a great first 30 minutes or so when a goal looked like it was coming then really tons of opportunities but nothing close to being a goal. We need to study this game and fix this shite

fricking bad loss any way you slice it. We fall into this little groove like we expect the home side to just lay down in awe of us. We woke up in time versus Chelsea but the well was empty today.

Newcastle didn't do shite today.

Bruno should have had a red.

The ball went out. Big Gabi was fouled, AND it was offside as Big Gabi was the last man.

Can't wait for another apology from the refs.

fricking corruption.

Of course Newcastle sits back like a relegation side when they get their unwarranted goal.

Oil Arabs 1
Brits 0

VAR -worth every penny they paid. Is premier league going to become FIFA?

Also, does it rain every premier league game now

Worst officiated match I’ve ever seen in my life. Havertz making that tackle and getting 3 other guys carded was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen also.

I actually do not understand how Bruno was still on the field. If you look up the rule for contact away from the ball, which constitutes a red, it is verbatim what he did.

VAR actually checked that and said clear? Either you change the rule because it clearly doesn’t matter or you admit you were wrong.

Arteta has never gone in this hard:

quote:

If there was a team looking to win the game today it was Arsenal.

"Embarrassing what happened - how this goal stands, in the Premier League - this league we say is the best in the world. I've been 20 years in this country and now I feel ashamed. It's a disgrace and there's too much at stake here. We are trying to do incredible things and be at the highest level each week. When we're not good enough I hold my hands up and take responsibility.

"The outcome is nowhere near the level this league needs to have and the way this league is getting competed in. It's not good enough. I feel embarrassed to be part of this.

don’t forget you had 5 other arsenal players in the box and none of them were nowhere near the ball

And only 2 newcastle players, who coincidentally made a play on the ball

that was just piss poor positioning

When you play a much bigger physical team and ref decides to let them play you are in real trouble. I am ok with that as the ref was relatively consistent. WTF the side refs and VAR were watching I have no clue

I didn't.

Those things don't excuse the level of incompetentance from the refs today
