Looks like we should get Tierney and one of Rugani or Luiz done tomorrow. Not the most exciting CB signing but given all the players we brought in already I would say Raul knocked this window out of the park.

Luiz gets a bad rap. He is prone to defensive errors that will cost you big time, but there are so many games he's rock solid, particularly in a lot of big matches. He was the best player on the field by a mile when we beat City last season. He was a hero in Munich pretty much playing on one leg. He also played on one leg for half the year after Aguero ninja kicked him the year we won the league with Conte. He's a pretty strong vocal leader. He's an incredible passer/footballer generally speaking. You'll grow to love him most of the time.

I know he's a good defender, but we have error prone guys already. Xhaka and mustafi. Id take him if we could have shipped mustafi off so I know they would never play together.
But if this is all we could get done, then so be it. We need a cb that can play now.

Mustafi will more than likely be sold. If not he has already fallen down the pecking order behind Chambers. Which means he is also behind Holding(will be back playing sometime in September), Luiz(if we get him), and Sokratis.

Yea I agree but we have to sign some CB. We can't afford to not make Champion's league again. And who knows what Raul will do. We could definitely sign someone else.
