the way the British media have covered Suarez's saga compared to RvP's or Cesc's shows their bias against him, yet again. no one called RvP a scumbag when he anonymously carpetbombed our club and his teammates while forcing his way out.

Yeah I just think it's pretty clear Suarez wants to go to Madrid. And there is no way Arsenal and LFC are going to come close to each other.

it was clear at the time the story came out it was from RvP or his camp. what Suarez did going to the guardian is still a bitch move, but at least he put his name behind it.
also, lol @ the Guardian for putting Suarez on blast after taking the interview.
this whole thing is stupid.maybe I'm jaded from recent transfer windows and the Thunder trading Harden, but there is no loyalty in sports. from either side. there are rare, rare exceptions, but it isn't the norm. every transfer is disloyal. it was disloyal of us to ruthlessly slash our wage bill by dumping 28 players this summer. Liverpool didn't stand up for Suarez in his incidents out of the kindness of its corporate heart or out of loyalty, it was for themselves.
managers, players, clubs will always do what's in their best interest. I'm worn out with the pontificating.

It's really not about that for me, I GET why he wants to go (and don't really blame him) and so far Arsenal are the only team that have bid for him... they tick his minimum requirements.
I think he owes us another year, due to the extreme circumstances, that he caused, that the club has backed him on....
OK, he doesn't think he owes us... fine. However, he has to understand why we do not want to sell him to Arsenal... Chelsea? frick off, but OK give us our money... but Arsenal? No... And that is nothing against them as a club, its just situational, relative to this upcoming season...

He'll do it again eventually. There's no cure for crazy. The question is whether you're willing to put up with it for the goals. I would only hope he did it so Arsenal understood what we went through more than wishing any actual harm on the Gunners.

I'm still a little confused why I get ripped for saying Arsenal are fringe title contenders but Liverpool fans constantly can say they're legitimately fighting for fourth. to me, at this point, the hopes and beliefs are pretty much based on the same foundation - changes in the squad in the second half and hope of continued gelling and improvement.
regardless, I don't think this year is the main reason you won't sell us Suarez, though it certainly is one. personally, the future should be more of a concern. it's that success for us this year could snowball next year when our new deals hit and we have even more cash available. a trophy would really help us continue the momentum of our newfound financial strength and make another, not immovable, but very tough to move, club above Liverpool to go along with the sugar daddy clubs and ManU.
