was there for the el salvador game which was awesome.

so strange that this was the first time I had been there for a soccer game, other times it was just with friends grabbing a quick beer.

Frimpong posted a pic on instagram which seems to indicate he's gone. #dench:( the clearout continues...

Joel Campbell on loan to Olympiacos. odd loan choice. he'll get CL football but unless he really impresses, he doesn't seem to be in AW's plans. he got his work permit this year, just fyi.

That video of Per, Sagna, and someone else (don't remember who, maybe Poldi) dancing with those other dancers was pure gold.

Outtake video from Asia Tour

the german youngsters don't seem to follow directions very well at the end.

you can see why this group gelled well together during this tour. They seem to enjoy being around each other. The "seniors" are just as bad if not worse than the young guns with fooling around.

Does anyone else find it weird that Giroud took off his shorts and threw them to the fans?

so Arsenal sent a scout last night to E Mineirao to observe Bernard in the flesh during the Copa Libertadores final. Needless to say they won in penalties after going down 2-0 in the Aggregate scoreline in the away game. Bernard didn't have the brightest of games.. had a "meh" game, had a tough time dealing with the double team Olimpia offered up on the wings, but he did manage to create some chances and flash some moments of brilliance. A real warrior, a the end of extra-time he cramped very bad and refused to come out the came, so he hobbled with the ball at his feet for the duration of those last 15 minutes.

He said after he was celebrating his Continental conquest: idk if I will stay at the club after Thursday, it will be up to the board now.

just finished watching it. we won 2-1. some thoughts:

-They were the best team we faced on our tour and we still looked like the much better side throughout the balance of the 90 minutes. so that's good i guess.

-First half they came out rather dangerous early, though we did as well. It was very open. Later in the first half we dominated. Should've scored a few, but never did.

-Second half we scored a nice goal. Had a couple of really great chances to score afterwards. We were totally dominating. Then, we gave up a goal off a corner and lost control of the match for about 10 minutes. we ended on top but our second goal was really lucky. bad defensive error that Akpom buried.

-Walcott should've had probably 4 or 5 goals. 3 of them were clear cut chances. On a couple of other occasions he was selfish when someone else was in on goal. A night to forget for him.

-Kos played the full 90 which is reassuring. Had to put on the burners a few times. His pace always surprises me.

-Rambo and Ox paired up in CM at the beginning of the second half. Worked well for a bit, but after the goal we got overrun.

-Zelalem came in for Ox around the 69th minute. Did nothing really of note in the deeper position. Got dispossessed once, but it sure liked like he was fouled twice trying to wiggle away from challenges, waiting for someone to give him a passing option.

-on a larger note, our movement on the whole tonight was fairly poor. a couple of real bright spots, but too much standing around.

-Gnabry looked good again. Ryo played fairly well too in his 45. both had a couple of really dangerous moments.

-Baccy started at RB, played CB in the second half. solid performance.

-Jenkinson got skinned a couple of times, including a 'meg that led to a foul, which led to a corner, which led to the goal.

-Miquel actually had a couple of really dangerous crosses, but wasn't particularly great defensively.

-Rambo played a lovely pass to Theo to set up Poldi's goal. Solid performance from him.

-Rosicky looked great. Still has great burst at 32. Should've had a handful of assists, but Theo was wasteful and Rambo missed just wide.

-Fabianski actually had a really great game. Made at least 2 great saves. Wasn't at fault on the goal.

-ManU lost and drew the two J League teams they played this week. So

We can count it as a great preseason. We should have a very strong start to this season and our team chemistry seems excellent. This will be an exciting season for the gunners.

centrally. even when akpom came on. had a goal and another chance. nothing else really. there was a funny moment when he got called for a high kick. Brazilian guy went down grasping his face when poldi kicked him in the hand. poldi stood over him mocking him. it was hilarious. hopefully someone gif'd him miming at the guy.

Don't worry Gooners. This was released by Pool 3 days before they sold Torres.
