If TV5 had 10% of Per's acumen he would be incredible. These next 12 or so days are going to be a big test. So far we have answered them all. Can't wait to watch.

This is so much fricking fun.

I don't know. in my head, it's kos because he's more active. but maybe it's per since we'll have to deal with the physical lukaku Sunday.

it's nice to have rotation options now.

As long as we use them.

exactly. the lineup I listed is a lot better than some we've thrown out in recent years. having two speedier players in the side would be nice too. though that would probably fit özil's game a little better than santi's.

our midfield is really stacked right now. i'd take that midfield I listed, which is pretty much our second string, over most in the league.

Yep. Our midfield is incredible, even before Ramsey's revived form.

No one wants to admit it, but we look like title winners despite our obvious deficiencies, because of the fluidity of our midfield. The interchanging of positions, the horizontal movement, the patience we've shown against every type of defense can't be praised enough.

it's been pretty humorous how little pundits have rated our title chances. week after week more come around, but the holdouts still humor me. if you don't think we're contenders after watching us so far (and watching how everyone else in the league has flaws too), you're crazy.

Arsenal
City
ManU
Chelsea

At this point I think those are the only 4 that have a real shot.

Southhampton will fade due lack of depth
Tottenham have no creativity
Suarez can't do it by himself

shitty thing about spurs is, they're only going to improve. AVB is a smart coach, he'll adjust. and their new additions will continue to adapt. don't think they have a shot at the title, but they could certainly fight for that 4th spot with ManU, 'Pool, Everton, etc.

I'll be really interested to see how 'Pool does in this heavy fixture month without Sturridge. SAS, Mignolet's awesomeness and some luck have given them the point total they've gotten so far. Their midfield isn't anything special and their back 4 isn't either, though, it could potentially be more solid than it is (don't quite understand BR's selections at times). if they can tread water, they'll stay in the hunt, but there's a possibility that this next month without Sturridge or January reinforcements could be quite bad and lead to them spirralling out of CL contention.

I actually like Everton's squad quite a bit, though it's odd to see 3 loaners as integral parts of the team. i think they'll be in CL contention throughout the season.

i agree on Soton.

also, there was a rumor going around on twitter today (so not true but hilarious) that rvp has handed in a transfer request

Agree, but they don't create enough clear chances. Ericksen and Dembele are it in terms of making something happen, except for counter attacks and long range chances.

I do as well. I think they are the 5th best team.

If RvP had stayed Ramsey wouldn't have developed as he has. RvP was particularly hard on Ramsey, and they had a problem after that Everton game some years ago where RvP set up Ramsey with a cushioned header which Ramsey sent over. It's no surprise Ramsey has found his confidence in an RvP less team. If he wasn't such a count I'd want him back, but he could go to Spain and frick up those locker rooms.

To think, the first iteration of our youth team squad built around Fabregas had RvP and Adebayor, with Gallas as the elder statesmen. Jesus we've had some count on our team.

Right now Wilshere is our count, as well as Szcznesy and probably Flamini. Everyone else seems fine.

If Spurs do the stupid thing and let him go, then it will take even longer for a lot of those players. What I don't understand about Spurs is what type of team they are trying to build. AVB seems to want a hybrid of Mourhinho's Chelsea and Guardiola's Barcelona, with respect to personal and style.

You have to build that team around Soldado, with a line of creative players with some solid DM's holding the midfield. Let Soldado run the channels, let him move in the box, etc. They need to stop giving Townsend license to bumble about and then take a shot from 25 yards.

Seems he is favoring athleticism more than creativity. Dembele has both and Ericksen is a very good player. Neither are in favor. Blows my mind. Kind of like Mata this campaign. Arsene doesn't ask much of Ozil in terms of defense, don't see why Mata can't be the Chelsea equivalent.

but they are only count on the field, which is an improvement over RvP and others. these guys actually seem to like each other. not sure anyone but maybe Fab liked RvP.

he doesn't, but surprisingly, Ozil has contributed more than than i expected. he's been pretty good about getting back if others have gotten caught up ahead of him on the pitch.

Of course. But, they are sooooo much better when Mata plays. The ball is moved quicker and more chances are created.

It helps that we defend deep. Gives our creative players a lot of protection. I suppose Bould's philosophy has finally won over. Defending deep and counter at pace unsettles teams, and then we have the ability to press to win the ball quickly if we need to. Add to that the ability to break down teams while holding possession, and that's a pretty impressive team.

Ozil does haul arse whenever there is a counter opportunity though. I wish Podolski would do the same.

Neither do I. He had a boner worthy volleyed through ball the other day.

I really like Mata. Our finances were 2 years late at being resolved or he really may have been an Arsenal player.
