We won't buy Navas unless we sell Walcott, which could happen but is unlikely.

I don't think that's necessarily true, but it's unlikely regardless.

And yes... his eyes...

I think Bould will help this team defensively. The fullbacks stayed back against sunderland. Only drawback was gerv wasnt getting any help.

I agree. It is one of those things were Gibbs will have to learn to find a balance of when to push up and when drop back.

Arsenal Sahin switch on hold as Wenger considers option of permanent deal Quit messing around and get the damn deal done. Word is Liverpool are back in the race for Sahin. We always try to haggle and haggle. Just get it done Arsenal. Deadline day is approaching and we still need to make a couple of signings. So frustrating.

Reports suggest Roma have turned down an Arsenal enquiry for defender Nicolas Burdisso, the 31 year old argentine defender can play central defence or right back, Roma are said to be unwilling to consider selling him. Guess when Wenger said he was looking for another defender he wasn't lying. This is exactly the kind of signing we could use. Someone who can play right back and center back.

Really don't care for the Sahin deal if it is just a one year loan.

That's stupid. He could help us this year, if only for cover until Wilshere gets back into form

Sahin saga takes new twist with Liverpool set to beat Arsenal to loan of midfielder

Guardian journalist: Sahin to have medical with Liverpool tomorrow

Ok looks like we messed that up big time. I am sorta pleased that we were looking for a permanent move but if Madrid doesn't want to agree to it then go find another midfielder as quickly as you can as time is ticking. Leave it up to Arsenal to take 3 weeks to confirm a signing that we will never make. We better find a replacement for Song soon. Who knows how long Diaby is going to last?

Team news

on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (ankle)...
He should be back in the training group from Friday. He has not practiced with the team yet. But he should be in the squad for Stoke.

on Laurent Koscielny (calf)...
He will not be back. But he should definitely be back next week. So he should play in the game after Stoke.

on Lukasz Fabianski, who missed the Sunderland game...
He should be OK. He has a test today [Thursday] and, normally, he will be back. He has had a problem with inflammation of the back.

Well...the past couple of weeks have reminded me how depressing it is to be an Arsenal fan in the summer. optimism to selling your captain to a rival to giving away a talented player to failing to collect the services of an extremely talented player after a drawn out transfer cycle...ugh.

I know its only Friday but I really hate Stoke with their long ball rugby tactics, leg breaking tackles, and annoying coach in his tack suit and crappy baseball cap. I'm already expecting dirty tackles and time wasting. frick Stoke City.

Yeah, not expecting much from Sunday.

Liverpool got no option to buy on Sahin. Wonder who we'll get now that everyone knows we're desperate...
