Song is gone. Let's hope we got close to 20 mil from him. Let's also hope we will get a replacement. If only we could tap up Marouane Felliani. He'd be an excellent replacement.

I'd imagine it'll be M'Vila. Price was about all that was holding us back.

Makes me pretty sad. He was one of our guys that I genuinely liked (insomuch as one can like someone they don't actually know).

This is all my fault for getting a Song kit. Sorry everyone.

Felliani is arguably the more dynamic player. I wouldn't mind M'vila, but Felliani is a seasoned PL player who is probably the best player on Everton.

You have shitty luck. Do not buy a Wilshere kit.

I like Felliani. I think he due for a move to a bigger club but if we sign him but everyone will say we have no ambition and this and that because we basically signed Everton's midfield. I dont know who we will sign but I trust Wenger to sign someone of quality to replace Song. In fact I'd imagine he already has who he wants in mind.

I hear ya. I have a Joe Cole (lost a bet), Torres and Carroll. Just bought a Borini, Bradley and Eriksen so let's hope my curse doesn't carry on.

Fellaini is the most dynamic and underrated players in the epl. He can play anywhere on the pitch

Felliani is a quality player who was a display of Everton's supposed ambition. I don't really care what people say about our ambition, as that is irrelevant. Felliani is one of the best box to box CM's in the PL. He isn't the passer that Song was, but he has a better work rate, is more mobile, and is better in his positioning.

I agree he would fit us perfectly. He has an understanding with Arteta, adds to set pieces, and adds physicality . I was just commenting on how fans from certain other teams would perceive us.

I've been cool with every sale of a player for the past few years. They've all sucked, but inevitable and justifiable. This one rubs me the wrong way though. We held all the chips in this situation. Instead, we got pissy his agent was shopping him around and now are selling him out of what I see as spite. If we get M'Vila and Sahin, we might be better off. Who knows. All I know now is we're practically giving away an extremely talented, albeit flawed, young player who has been one of our best performers the past two seasons. I love Arsene and what he's done for us, but I don't drink enough of the kool-aid to think this isn't shitty.

Not to mention now we have no one fun on our team.

RIP Eboue

RIP Songinho. Just as you had figured out what to do with your hair, you were gone...

To be honest its hard to call. Song wasn't very quick himself. It sure seems Felliani puts himself about more than Song. Song is known for being lazy.

Fellaini generally seems pretty lazy as well. I know song wasn't especially quick but he covered a lot of ground. Fellaini is one of the slowest players in the epl. I actually really rate Fellaini but he's not a better player than song and certainly not more mobile. His presence in both boxes would be a difference maker for arsenal though imo

Yea there are a couple guys I would like ahead of Felliani but I would take him over no one. I am hoping Wenger is just waiting for the Song deal to be completed so he can go get M'Villa.

Song was a beast last year. How can anyone on this board not argue that this sucks for Arsenal?

It only sucks if we don't replace him. Wenger is pissed at him for his attitude. He is forcing his way out the club anyway. Song is overrated by most Arsenal fans plain and simple. Arteta was better and more important last year as we saw when he missed games. It does suck for Arsenal that we keep having players want to leave.
