What are the chances that Wenger decides to give Beowulf another chance? I honestly think he could be a good striker if he ever remembers that he's 24 years old and not 15. Also, I think he could be a direct replacement for Giroud for subs and injuries.

Bendtner's only redeeming quality is that he figured out that Adebayor was a count before anyone else did. Nick was a really average player who was never good enough. It's not like he didn't get chances.

If we don't get another striker, I'll be disappointed. Chamakh can't cut it. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be disappointed.

Him being offside is a natural byproduct of the way he plays. Also, he doesn't "flop." He may exaggerate a bit, but there is always contact when he goes down (that I've seen). He just embellishes a bit.
It's pretty silly that you won't put aside your emotions for Chicharito if he were to become an Arsenal player. You "hate" way too many players. He would improve the squad and would score plenty of goals.

Yeah, I would have rather seen RVP go out-of-country, but a 20M price is good, so I'm not all that worked up over him going to ManUre.
No doubt he and Rooney will be formidable together, but there is still only one ball on the pitch.

CSB, and I'm going to continue to hate them, why should I put aside what makes me enjoy the game? The ends don't justify the means.

Always known that was to be his destiny. Hope he gets and stays healthy.
As far as Chichirito. He just wouldn't fit into our system and I can only see him coming if we sell Walcott and then start using more 2 striker formations.

On that note Walcott is close to signing his new deal according to the insider.

Nah it isn't

Yea with RVP gone and Song on his way as well cant see us letting Walcott go. Looked good the other day. Hopefully he finds more consistency this season. If he does it would really be big for us.

Ashley Young is a far more egregious diver than Chicharito. I've never really heard Hernandez called a diver to be honest.

Because he isn't one. There's a difference between looking for contact (Ashley Young) and actually going down because of contact (Hernandez). If you watch when he plays, the guy gets beat the frick up out there. He certainly embellished occasionally, but he doesn't dive.
I would take him in a heartbeat. He is a great substitute/big game player. He won't fit in every system, but he will score goals at a very high rate.

Agreed Young is the worst.

According to Young Guns, M'Vila, Capoue, Wanyama, Lucas Biglia, and Kara Mbodj would be targets if we sell Song.
Posted on 8/16/12 at 1:19 pm to Friend of OBUDan
Same ol targets besides Kara Mbodj. I havent heard much of him. Will do some research.
Posted on 8/16/12 at 3:09 pm to DB10_AFC
Mbodj is a tall, powerful DM. He plays in Norway though, where the competition isn't of the level of the EPL, though it is as physical. I'd rather not spend 10M on Capoue (the quoted price) if we can't get M'Vila. I wouldn't mind Mbodj if we can get him for less than £5m.

Also, Biglia is more like Gago and Arteta, and less like Song. We'd be much lighter in the center of midfield without a "like for like" replacement.

Bartley sold to Swansea for £1mil. Substantial sell on fee too.
