I didnt even watch on Saturday cus my fig man u friend texted me the score even though i told him not to cus i was at work. I didnt want to waste 90 minutes on what seems like a classic Arsenal let down from the past 7 years.

Do we play tom or wed?

Also anyone got more info on the u21 game from tonight? Specifically on jack and sagna.

Everyone says we need a more ruthless goalscorer. Not sure Llorente, Adrian, and the other names thrown out there actually fit that description...

I think we need more creativity from the wide areas to be honest.

I could only pray that we would sign Benzema. He is a class striker and would improve us tremendously.

Had no idea he was just 24 as well, that would be a great signing.

Yea we would have to break our transfer record to get him but if there is a player Wenger would do it for it would be Big Benz. Maybe throw first option to buy Sagna in to drop the price some as there is a lot of speculation that this could be Sagna's last year at the club. Plus Madrid have shown interest in Sagna anyway.

Imagine this lineup come January
GK - New Signing/Sir Chez
RB - Sagna
CB - BFG(Big fricking German)
CB - Verminator
LB - Gibbs
CM - Arteta
CM - Wilshere
CAM - Santi
LW - Podolski
ST - Benzema
RW - Ox

We would definitely make top 4 and could have an outside shot at the title. Plus the League and FA Cups would be real possibilities.

If Madrid buy Falcao there is a decent chance. As I said before Wenger has always had a thing for Benzema and would probably jump at the chance to get him.

Sorry, but that report is borderline insanity. Even if they got Falcao, the striker they offload wouldn't be Benzema, it'd be Higuain. Not to mention the article seems to say Benzema would be available in the summer. I'm all for believing pipe dreams, but this is crazier than that. We have a more realistic shot (slightly) of signing Falcao than we do Benzema.

Speaking of Pipe dreams. Falcao will cost twice as much as Benzema.

Not necessarily, higuain has been a LOT more efficient this season for them and consequently has seen more time

Not true. Falcao has a ~50mil release clause. Which, if we ponied up more cash, would be triggered. Falcao is going to go for 40-50. Benzema will be worth more than 1/2 of that (when he was less of a sure deal he was worth 35mil euros), but more importantly, Real Madrid holds the cards. They don't have to sell him. They won't sell him. They don't sell guys that are performing well for them.

True, though I'd doubt that lasts long term. They wouldn't even have to offload Higuain if they didn't want to. Real just doesn't give away guys who are performing well going into the peak of their careers. I'd gladly take Benzema or Higuain, but it seems ridiculous that Real would sell. Either way, it'd take 30+ mil to sign either. This isn't a VDV or Sneijder situation.

Yeah, you're right. He's had a poor start 8 games into the league season. SELL HIM NOW!

Benzene has 2 goals and 5 assists on 10 starts and 7 subs

Higuain has 8 goals 1 assist on 12 starts and 4 subs

From reading up on it, he likes to have the diversity of the two strikers. Benzema fits better with the team, but higuain performs better as a lone striker.

So really which one of those descriptions better fits falcao is the one more likely to be let go

If they buy Falcao someone will be sold. Whether its Benzema or Higuan. So I would just guess they would sell the off form striker. Whether Benzema has hit form by January is another story. And you can make a point without being an arse. We all know that its a slim chance of us signing Benzema but this is a forum and we are just having a discussion about the possibility of it.

If they buy Falcao (which at this point I hope they do), it will be Higuain that they sell... Higuain and Falcao are too similar, where Benzema offers more versatility...
