True. I was rather annoyed you didn't even read the rumor you posted. I probably could have voiced my response in a less a-hole manner.
I love you guys.

Selling Walcott would be a massive mistake. Especially considering our offensive woes. Gnabry isn't ready to shoulder that load. Theo should be starting for us. Hopefully Wenger quits shutting him out when he returns from injury. We need an offensive spark.
Gervinho is starting up top today. Coquelin in, Ramsey on the right.

Arsenal are more productive when Theo plays. Ox is still in the "promising stage" for me.

The only reason The Ox should start over Theo at the moment is defensive or contract related. Theo is still better right now. Especially with Sagna coming back, he and Theo's fruitful partnership on the right should get the nod again.

That is a terrible reason.

quote:Yea I agree. Theo's lack of defensive responsibility would also need to change if he were to become our starter but I agree with both of yall he has looked sharp for the most part this season. Plus maybe he is motivated to prove Wenger wrong and that could be an asset for Wally.
That is a terrible reason.

Theo is only better with sagna, or against teams that play open (or are behind and thus are forced to play openly)
They're situational, honestly I don't like gervinho or theo's chances of contributing anything against bunkering teams

Theo's not very good against teams that pack back and defend. I feel like ox is better against teams like that.

This.
The Ox hasn't shown any ability to break down a team that's packing the box. Theo at least has had some success at various times. Glasser is right. The Ox is still for the future. Hasn't given us enough finished product to justify his enormous hype, yet. We've seen flashes to be sure, I just think many arsenal fans have an unreasonable view of his contributions so far.

You may be right, and that I only tend to remember other teams that win against a bunker defense vs. watching Arsenal week-in-and-week-out and our struggle to over come that type of opposition. There may be some sort of cognitive bias where I only process teams that break down 11 men behind the ball and compare them to our frequent inability to do so. Just seems like we get the short end of the stick more often than not

I mean, Barcelona needed a 90th minute stoppage time winner to beat Celtic..
Posted on 10/24/12 at 11:01 am to LSUSOBEAST1
for some reason the "most recent" last gasp winner I can recall is Cesc's header against Sunderland about 3 seasons back. any other gunnertards remember another stoppage time winner after that...?
