Are MLS managers undervalued?

Given the relative parity of MLS compared to to other leagues and the quality of play being roughly equal to that of the Championship in England, doesn't it follow that the elite managers in the MLS should be good candidates at top level European clubs around the world? After all, if the talent is fairly equal then doesn't someone who can come in and make a big splash show that they have the skills to compete at that level? How much worse could they do than a guy like Roberto Martinez who just got his team sent down yet is somehow still thought of highly over there?

I dunno. I think Kreis and Porter could certainly coach big league European ball.

Good bit of these guys are old dudes (Schmid, Arena, Kinnear, Hyndman, Yallop) who have been involved with MLS/college soccer since the early days, and they're just cycling through teams or have been at one for forever.
Others are former players that have stumbled into their job from being a club legend (Olsen, Petke, Heaps) and probably wouldn't leave for a number of reasons.
Guys like Kreis and Porter could make the jump since they're younger. Wonder how much MLS success a coach would need to get before European teams called them up. Probably a couple of title runs and some noise in the CCL.

Gonna have to win that CCL. I wanted Kreis as the new national team manager. I think we might see Skeletor latch on to a top flight relegation battler if he gets Egypt into the knockout rounds of the WC. I'm not sure if anyone else has a chance.
