Was coming to post this.

Nice write up indeed.

Nice little blurb for the board!
quote:

"After watching the World Cup in 2010, I saw there was a big demand for the sport here," he said. "At the same time, Tigerdroppings.com came up with the Soccer Board, and I could see how popular that was. I started reading more and more about the Outlaws and seeing them on TV at games, so I looked into it and there wasn't a chapter in the state. So I just decided that if no one else would try and do it, then I'll try and do it."

I know the guy top left. What's the guy's name, bottom left? I might have worked at EA with him.

Haha, Gary was awesome. I had no idea he was such a big US fan, but I remember discussing the US-Spain confederations cup game with him way back when.

Also, Mark, you are a "former player?"

Other Mark, great article man, as always

i played from age 6-19
then i got fat and lazy
played one season of over 30 about 6 years ago, lost a lot of weight. then blew out both knees in offseason
then got really fat, and that continued till i was ridiculously fat and probably not long for this world

ive been on a diet program with Pennington, have dropped over 130 lbs in the last 8 months. im hoping to play over 40 in the fall, but my knees will determine that

Damn congrats dude. That takes a lot of discipline and determination. In the end you will be glad you did though. If you cut just 3,500 calories out of your diet per weak, even if you move no more than you already do, you'll lose a pound a week. Fact.

How do you blow out both knees in one offseason? Sorry about that. Losing one knee has been bad enough.

walking across a street, my knee dislocated basically for no reason out of the blue, and falling awkwardly because of it

then years of damage on the other one came to a head with torn acl, mcl and menisucs, and no cartildige

facing double knee replacements in about 15 years

The best chance of prolonging that timeline is getting your weight down to a reasonable number. I think you can do it.

I thought it looked like you'd dropped some weight. Good job, big man. Keep up the good work!
