I would agree. Landon hasn't pushed himself as he could have. He has done great things for US soccer, but if he had ventured out of California he could have been even better.

This seems stupid. I don't know why you'd possibly alienate a great player because that's just "how you do it."
I remember reading about Sir Alex Ferguson's reaction to Eric Cantona's kung fu kick. He spent his post game speech yelling at someone else. He knew how to handle Cantona. Everyone's different.

Edit: I think solidifying the back 4 with Cameron and Omar in the middle over the next 3-4 months will help get things going offensively for us if we have confidence in our back 4.

Also, huge bullshite that the Honduran government makes tomorrow a national holiday in order to get people to go to the game.
1.) Maybe if your federation scheduled the game at night, people would be able to attend after getting off work, you know like the rest of the world.
2.) This is obviously a bit on the relatively trivial side of things. Maybe your country would be slightly less of a huge hyper-violent, impoverished shithole, if you encouraged your people to work on a normal Wednesday afternoon, instead of making a national holiday out of ONE qualifying match. This is how the first world works. We don't take off arbitrary days of the week to watch one sporting event.

I think it's a safety thing. Have the game end before dark. People would have rioted if they weren't let off of work.

They've played midweek qualifiers at night in the past. If rioting and violence are such a problem, Honduras has several other stadiums in slightly less hyper-violent cities where games can be played. It's obvious that they scheduled it in the middle of the day to get the most out of the humid weather.
I'm fine with a day game during the weekend as that is a fairly normal custom. This is Honduras again resorting to typical Central American bullshite to get an advantage against a better team.

Same reason the Mexicans have games at Azteca and we have winter games against Central American teams in breezy Columbus. I'm not going to fault them for it.
