I'm in a meeting right now and can't even listen. If I were at home I'd at least have it up on a screen.

And the funny thing is, Notts County being promoted is an even better story. They're the oldest football club in the world and play literally right across the river from Nottingham Forest. They still have great fan support considering their decline.

This. Btw Notts County was a year away from being in the first ever Premier League

All the bandwagoning for a random tier 5 club no one cared about just because an actor bought them is making me want to root against them…

Though I suspect that’s what they want to happen. The fans made Manchester United a big club. The haters made Manchester United the BIGGEST club

That “random teir 5 club” is also one of the 3 oldest clubs in the world. One of the most historic clubs in wales. Have one of if not the oldest stadiums in the world in the racecourse. But I get it, it’s not “cool” to root for the mainstream.

For the shite Wrexham fans have been thru they deserve the press and exposure that comes along with being owned by one of the biggest actors in the world.

Why can't we enjoy both? It's one of the things that makes soccer so great. Clubs rich in history that have a chance to climb their way back up, and we as fans get to enjoy that.

I'm an NFL fan, but the fan geography is really too much, I have no real connection to any teams, and I live 12 hours away from the team that I root for. Imagine if there were teams in neighborhoods that I could go watch every weekend? That's what makes it fun.

You can enjoy both, but the guy was shitting on wrexham for no reason other than "bandwagon" fans.

Which rings a little hollow considering he's a guy that's never left St Bernard parish his whole life but wants to act like he's been a lifelong fan with a personal attachment to [insert whichever Premier League team he bandwagoned].

That’s why people get into college and high school ball… we don’t all have the Saints close by, or one of the FBS or FCS football teams

Will say this about the bandwagoning of Premier League teams… I first decided I liked Wolves in 2004, when they wore the same colors as the Saints and ever since then it’s been pretty casual. I play with them on FIFA, watch them on tv and hope they win, bought a jersey and a second tier championship DVD once. Obviously I haven’t been to England or y’all would know. They haven’t been Premier League every year.

Pretty sure everyone else does similar with United or City or whoever…
