Summer transfer rumors are already swirling, and it's time for a new installment of this storied thread. I'll start with this bomb from Fabrizio Romano:

Barcelona are now ready to pay €125M release clause for Antoine Griezmann. Talks ongoing with the player about the contract (5 years). #Barça #Atleti #transfers

Latest reports from BBC/Independent are saying we're holding out for a higher fee.

He has already to Atletico he will not return
Him in a Barca shirt is gross
That and I really don’t see how he fits into that team with how they play and them going younger.

I don't either, but I'd bet he scores a shite ton of goals either way

Uh oh.
Bayern have supposedly been ‘granted permission’ to speak with Sane’s reps.
Lad has awhile on his contract still, so he would almost certainly demand £100 mil+, so if he does decide to leave at least it will be for a massive profit.
ETA: oh and this is Duncan Castles reporting it. So it’s true.

Barcelona are hoping to announce the signing of Matthijs de Ligt in the coming days

So with Barca we're looking at:
75m for de Jong
70 for de Ligt
125 for Griezman
270m on 3 players? How does Griezman even fit into the team? They can't play him as a shadow striker, Messi already drifts into that space. They can't go diamond unless they're willing to eat the loss on Dembele/Malcom/Coutinho. That's one of those transfers you make on FIFA just because you have a shite ton of money and don't know what to do so your bench is full of 88-89 rated guys.
Sane to Bayern has been hinted at since Bayern decided to move on from Pepe. Uli has such a hard-on for German internationals but I'll admit it'd be pretty sweet to see Sane back in Bavaria.
In other news, BvB are reportedly signing Nico Schulz and Thorgan Hazard for 25m and 30m

Brazzo (Hasan Salihamidžic) was in Madrid talking with an agent, but didn't say whose...better not be Bale's
Bayern have said they will make a big transfer splash...maybe it's Sane now?

Bale at a cut rate transfer might be worth the risk

Bale would be an AWFUL move, almost no matter the cost. Go back and play in England.
And if they don't pick up James' deal that frees up a shitload of euros

I won't be too bothered if as long as we make money on it. He's fricking brilliant when he wants to be. It's easy to say he should start more but honestly, who do you drop? Bernardo and Sterling played out of their skulls all season. Unless you move Bernardo inside you really can't justify Sane in the lineup.

Yeah I love Sane to death. He is world class on his good days, but he will completely dissapear if things aren’t going his way early on. I’ve never watched him play a match where he was bottled up for the first half and made an adjustment that allowed him to play how he likes in the second half.
I think he’ll be a world beater if he can figure out his consistency, learn to adjust to how the defense is playing and also gets more mentally tough. He complains by far the most on the pitch out of usual players if someone misplaces a pass to him or if he doesn’t get a foul called.
FWIW, he has always been the one player whom a lot of City supporters did expect to move on at some point. I thought Real for whatever reason, but Bayern isn’t surprising especially after his World Cup omission. He may want to go home and prove everyone wrong.
