Nagbe has been excellent this season.

The entire midfield was invisible today.

How would you characterize Nagbe? Is he one of our best players? He appears to me to be just one of the guys and not a standout?

Nagbe has absolutely been one of the best players for United. He's a distributor, a crucial connector between the defense and the attack. He's been one of the best in MLS in accurate passes and being in the right position defensively.

NYCFC's narrow field made it tougher for him to really get going today, IMO. The midfield is crowded. When Atlanta have more room to spread the field and attack, like they do at MBS, Nagbe can be impressive for someone who's never gonna get a lot of goals or assists.

Nagbe is a good player, but he wasn't so good today. He's not much of a playmaker like almiron. He needed to attack at the end there, not go backwards.

And by playmaker I meant in the final third. He's def good at facilitating between the defense and attack.

What was he going to attack? There were 2 guys preventing his forward movement and there was no one to pass to.

He could have passed it out wide, he did the same thing a few minutes before.

We couldn't keep the ball, I just thought we should take our chances before it ended up as a loss.

Go back and watch it again. When he turned to his left, one defender got on his right side, so he couldn't pass it wide to the right. There was no one wide to the left. Williams was slowly coming back from inside the box, but a defender was on his shoulder. There was really nowhere to go but back. Parkhurst then sent a shitty ball forward that fell to a NYC player without an AUFC player within 15 yards.

It’s bullshite that the mls allows a field that doesn’t fit in the regulations to be used

Looks like it was more of a mouth injury than concussion related.

Yeah, bleeding of some kind. Looked bad at first.

But, man, Josef on a direct free kick? Who would've imagined?

Miggy charging downfield on a wonderful run and Williams was just jogging.

What are you doing, Miggy? 2 wide arse open players on your left and you take that shitty shot?

As long as the league keeps letting them get away with it, teams are gonna keep doing it.
