I mean to be fair, we had to pay extra after they felt ripped off by the Salah deal plus everyone and their mom knew we wanted to upgrade at keeper and all the legit top ones are priced at ridiculous fees right now (see Oblak)

This is the exact same explanation City fans have given over the last few years and you all called us a shite club that’s ruining the market paying such exoiberant fees.

the classic painting with the broad brush We've had a negative net spend the last 2 windows. We haven't won anything. Obviously it takes money and spending if you want to win. Jurgen has realized that. I'm glad we're finally spending and addressing needs and signing our important players to new long term deals to help keep as more stable and competitive, while still keeping us financially stable.

never claimed that was a good thing. See the empty trophy case I should reword. It was good for us at the time considering we were renovating the Main Stand and trying to make ourselves more financially stable considering we almost went in to administration 7-8 years ago or whatever. Now that we actually have money, I'm glad we're not just pulling an Arsenal.
