Tough luck there. You gotta expect Hazard to get at least 4 points per match, IMO.

Berahino had a goal called back for offside, too, which would've been nice to have...but then it would've taken the clean sheet bonus away from Kolarov, so whatever.

Week 1 Recap:
Last year, opening week of our fantasy league had two ties and one more in week 22. A tie is a pretty rare occurrence in this league. This week, GC and BPG each put up 43 points. BPG was led by Coutinho's wonder strike and 10 points. GC choosing to captain Pelle instead of Harry Kane made the difference as it netted him an additional three points.
Despite two players leaving to PSG and Roma, my defenders more than picked up the slack. Kompany's 14 and Smalling's 9 points were huge as Smalling begins his campaign as a top 5 fantasy DEF. Kolarov and Zaha each posted a 7 for War, but the rest of the team looked it was on a preseason tour in Asia. Hazard only getting two points was disappointing in a low-scoring week for most fantasy teams.
Rooney had a decent showing for Tigerstark, but the star of the show was Yohan Cabaye. His 10 points more than picked up the slack for a surprisingly poor showing from his studly back four. I am afraid of this team when Chelsea gets a clean sheet. Sticky took over a last place team, but it appears that he is staying there after the first week. Oscar posted a solid 6 point total, but there were a lot of DNP's for week 1. Luckily, it was just one week.
Wait tends to produce high-scoring teams, but his 34 were not enough this week against the defending champ. Some dude named Amavi led the way with 9. Payet looked fantastic, and I am not sure his 6 points truly describe how impressed I was. Courtouis scored 2 points in fantasy and 1 babe in a Holiday Inn this week. The defending champion was led by a nice balance of solid performances with a Defoe goal. Sometimes, just having everyone at least contribute a couple points is not too bad, especially in the low scoring week 1 environment.
It seems that Mick's team did not get the memo to not have star do anything. Yaya Toure went HAM even if Silva has been credited with the goal after the fact (Toure keeps the point according to the league site). I am still surprised that he made it to pick #22. Ayew's 10 pointer was a welcome debut to the BPL, and it is hard to lose when your keeper scores 11. Then again, anyone can stop Arsenal days. Etm was this week's hard luck loser. His 48 points were the second best score posted, but he still lost by 31. Riyad Mahrez was the week 1 fantasy star with a brace. Silva, Shaw, and Gomis all posted six point performances to give etm enough points to beat anyone, but Mick's team led by the captained Yaya Toure.
I am aware that I still need to do a preview for Sticky, rdw, BPG, Tigerstark, and myself. My goal is to do those tonight. The league site is all up to date.
