James Pearce of the Echo is saying that Markovic will have a medical tomorrow on Merseyside, possible announcement on Friday..

I'm pretty stoked if this happens, I think he has an extremely high upside, though i think someone like Sanchez would have helped us more next season.. His signing, along with Lallana makes me think we may be moving to a 4-2-3-1, though we'd need better protection for Stevie to accommodate this IMO.. Can and Hendo could be the future there..

The good thing I read is that all signings up to now were happening w/o Suarez £, so it looks like we still have plenty of business left to do...

Yea you guys were going to spend 70 mil regardless but now I could see well past 100. Its almost like a total overhaul. With the depth attacking wise.

Still not sure about on D

Hopefully BR really goes in and gets some more depth with the Suarez money. I think teams have trouble dealing with Champions League at first because they don't know how many players you really need.

Will be interesting to see what he does with guys like Ibe and Suso. Both could definitely add depth and get games in cups, early CL games, and maybe some PL games, but they both would benefit from going out on loan and playing regularly also.

Origi is at Melwood, but they haven't scheduled a medical.

I saw that supposed pic of him, but I wasn't sure if I believed it... Hoping he can become our Lukakau and be ready in a couple of years after Lambert is done...

problem is we have ramsey, jack, diaby, ox, etc. who fit in that box to box role. we don't need another box to box MF. i'd rather have bender.

Real Madrid is going to be hilarious to watch next year if they let Khedira and di Maria go

Can't Khedira play as DM? I thought that was initial role when he was brought to RM...

Pre-Ancelotti, he played a lot in a double pivot w/Xabi. With Xabi next to him and Mesut usually ahead of him, he ended up covering a frick-ton of ground.

i've never really seen him do anything but play as a box to box mid, but i'm not as big a Real follower as joey or dandy or mrs. ramos. he excelled yesterday in that role. just don't know if he has it in him to harness that. and he's good enough at it, he shouldn't have to.
