According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona are closing in on the signing of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado. Fiorentina are reported to have secured the remaining half of Cuadrado's registration rights from Udinese and are now ready to sell the Colombia international on to Barcelona for €25million (£20.3m). Barcelona are hoping to get the deal done before the World Cup starts on Thursday.

Gareth Barry isn't the only midfielder being linked with a move to Everton in the papers today. According to the Daily Star Sunday, Everton have made an enquiry for Real Sociedad midfielder Ruben Pardo and are also interested in Nancy's Jeff Louis. cuadrado is a lot of fun to watch, especially when he's on, but doesn't seem consistent enough for barça. would be an interesting move.

ramires doesn't seem like a barça or RM player either.

that'd be a great deal for pepe. probably would mean no varane to Chelsea too.

Yeah, I kind of agree on both.

Cuadrado is as explosive as any player in the game with the ball and, to his credit, he runs like crazy and defends which will fit well with Barca's high pressure.

However, he's really prone to just playing "wildly" as well -- taking on everyone, shooting from anywhere. . .

I guess that if he didn't do those things he'd be selling for €50m instead of €25m.

I imagine Luis Enrique is recalling how much he terrorized Roma when he was managing.

yeah, he just doesn't fit the controlled mold of most barça players. he's a wild card. but that might make them more fun! the first match I watched him, I desperately wanted arsenal to buy him. the second match I changed my mind. it's alternated since then

looking forward to watching him in the world cup. his price could definitely rise.

This makes no sense at all.

I have it on good authority that they've also inquired about James Forrest.

He'd be a decent squad player for RM. His ability to cover a shite-ton of ground would be useful for when they get stretched going after teams in La Liga. Don't know how much time he'd get if di Maria and Khedira were both healthy, though.

And insigne won't go for that much if Arsenal gives them a decent offer

Also Orlando City is out of the picture now if Kaka were to leave Milan

Tom Ince's potential move to Italian giants Inter Milan sounds like it might have hit a snag, with the 22-year-old Blackpool winger seemingly had his head turned by the glamour that is Steve Bruce and his Hull City Tigers.
