So what exactly is the non-salary loan for Falcao? It can't be 12 million pounds for the loan and 8 million pounds for the salary, right?

And now for news everyone is waiting for...Royston Drenthe is going to play for Sheffield Wednesday

Telegraph says it's 6m pounds for the non-salary and 100% of wages 346k per week (~18m). No idea if accurate.

La culpa siempre es de Mourinho. O sino de Zapatero

Wonder if they have to cover Falcao's wages before or after taxes

That much for a one year loan for a guy coming off of major knee surgery is a HUGE risk for ManU.

It really is.. I was glad we went the route we did (plus, I thought he was going to RM)... I know RM were supposedly wary of his knee..

Anyway, looks like it will be the ultimate high risk, high reward kinda signing..

SSN saying Arsenal denying a deal is in place for Welbeck. Sky Bet has reopened betting on Welbeck, though Arsenal still a 1/3 favorite to land him. Spurs second favorite at 3/1

James in London: Just looking at the mindboggling numbers involved in the Falcao to MUFC deal. This one-year loan will cost them £24m: £6m loan fee and £18m in wages. FOR A LOAN! With no Champions League money coming in and now only 2 cups to play for. Talk about betting it all on black! I think people should be talking less about LFC "doing a Spurs" and more MUFC "doing a Leeds".

Yeah, but he's replacing a guy who's going to have knee surgery, so we can't possibly that unlucky. We're not Arsenal.

(who aren't going to sign Welbeck yay)

Marcotti says Falcao made $24 million/year net income. He says that would cost $43 million gross income/per year. That's an insane contract Monaco signed him to. Damn.

So I think $43 million is about 26 million pounds so it looks like some of the money is being paid by Monaco as the loan is somewhere between 20 and 24 million pounds for Man U.

Damn, that's a lot of money, especially with no CL money coming in. And what the hell is going on with that line-up? Van Persie, Rooney, Mata, and Falcao are all going to play together?
