Neither do I. I really can't imagine Lyon selling him cheap enough for us to buy him though. He isn't getting the starts now that Gourcuff is there, so we might be able to get him cheaply.

Arsene says if buys anyone it will be a CB, but only if Vermaelen suffers a setback. Generally, I'd just say he was saying that to hide his hand, but I honestly believe him. I don't think we're going to sign anyone this January. 
Also, Bolton sitting pretty for a Carlos Vela loan. Wenger says club that gives him the biggest guarantee of playing time will sign him.

At least. He's supposed to be back what, end of January? He'll probably suffer a setback then and we won't have any time to buy a replacement.

This is what I am afraid of. If we buy an un-cup tied CB and TV comes back I like our chances in Europe and domestically.

Don't believe so. Vela will be loaned out. Probably JET too, but haven't heard anything about a sale. Bendtner isn't going be sold because he's our #3 striker with an injury prone RvP and Chamakh who is levelling out a bit in front of him.
Eboue is the only other guy I heard rumors of being sold the past month or so, but he just signed a long-term extension.

My sources at OL tell me they want at least 25 mill. Also said Inter wanted him for a while, but the Benitez firing ended that. Also, if he doesn't transfer now, he'll definitely be out in the Summer.
Other rumors:
I'm hearing Celtic may get Shane Long.
Also, Gary Cahill to Arsenal, Vela to Bolton on loan.

Zenit offers Roma 10M Euro for David Pizarro.
Not sure if Roma will let Pizarro go but if this offer is true, perhaps they should. Never thought I'd say this since Pizarro has been just a notch below Pirlo and Xavi as a deep lying playmaker the past few years but his nagging injuries have really taken their toll and Roma is a much more dangerous side without him for the near future.
In a perfect world of oil money it would be nice to keep him and hope he returns to form next year but Roma needs to resign Mexes and up Jeremy Menez's contract plus they'd have money to go after a quality younger MF to pair with De Rossi and sign a younger RB as well.
