Great news, how do you think that will impact the lineup and formation? Will he be in just to give Tevez a break or will we see him on the field at same time?

an effing 3-4-3 with Dzeko, Balotelli, and Tevez

That would actually work against most teams who play a 4-4-2. Mancini should break out the 4-3-1-2 with Tevez just behind Dzeko and Balotelli. Tevez, with his work rate, is suited to a position behind the striker because he can easily and comfortably drop into midfield. Silva, Toure, and someone not named Gareth Barry but probably Gareth Barry should be in the midfield. The problem with this system is that it tends to get narrow, so it's important for the full backs to offer width. Or you can tell the strikers to take up wide positions when the opposition has the ball, and work the channels from the sideline in on whatever flank is weakest, ala Thierry Henry or more recently Robinho for Brazil.

I agree with that analysis, and agree with the downsides. we definitely are much better when we play out wide with Johnson and Milner with Silva up the middle. I just think with Silva AND Tevez in a very similar position it would be very tough to implement. I DO believe that Mancini can do a lot more with the talent than Hughes did and, the club wouldn't have gone for Dzeko without Bobby Man wanting him. I'm sure he has some tricks up his sleeve. We're just getting Dzeko for next season if Tevez leaves. Dzeko and Balotelli together would be very interesting

1 point against Gooners, shaky defense, but Gooners don't do enough to win. We definitely didn't do enough to win, but what do we expect from Mancini.
Let's just focus on Leicester in the FA CUP
