Was tonight's performance better than 93 Sugar Bowl D-fense?

Have to say yeah..

Well, yeah. This D didn't allow a point, and the opposing team ran FOUR plays in Bama's territory.

the better question is if this is the greatest Alabama defense ever. I say yes but am going to wait on the SEC rant being unlocked to make the thread.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEhhhhhhhhhhhh...... hate these comparisions...............
However, when the announcers started acting like the 50 yard line was the goal line.......
JEFFERSON and the OPTION

I don't think it has really sunk in what we just saw... utter domination by one unit over a pretty damn strong unit in itself.. one for the ages..

2009 hasn't sunk it yet for me, much less two in three years. After living through the Shula years as a student, this is like a dream.

Sorry about not knowing this but how good was the offenses you played in 93?
And i think LSU kind of showed who they were last night; a huge opportunistic type offense who lives off emotion after ST and D make huge plays. Didn't happen tonight so they never had any emotion or opportunity

No. The 92 team played a very good UM team that had an idea what O is about. They also and a very bad QB in Jay Barker.

LSU didn't even get 100yds and we shut them out. No doubt this was the best D performance. Total Domination.

Why are people acting acting like LSU is all of a sudden a inferior opponent? They are the same team that dominated 12 opponents and played what many said was one of if not the hardest schedules of all-time.
I'm sorry but put OSU, Oregon, Stanford or whoever else it is you think has a great offense in that game last night and the margin of victory is worse. They probably would have scored some points, but Bama scores at least 40 because unlike LSU those teams have terrible defenses.

I agree qith this.
Defense was suffocating last night...they played with a serious chip on their shoulder. Jefferson couldnt read the coverages the 1st half it seems. His reads got a little better in the 2nd half but missed throws and drops killed LSU. The option was a non factor.....JJ seemed tentative to engage/get hit to make the play work. Props to Kirby Smart and Coach Saban with the defensive gameplan
