Lou Holtz is terrible. It must be eating him up on his earlier prediction and the basis behind it being USC-E pass defense ranking. However, I doubt he can remember what he had for breakfast yet alone what he said this morning about this game. Mark May just had to start writing...

He had time on a bunch of those. At some point, you have to let it rip. If you never even try a pass more than 3 yards downfield, the opponent will simply focus on 3-yards-and-in. Throw a fade, throw a fly, whatever - you have to at least pretend like you're trying to score.
