I was in the Army when the Iraq war kicked off, we heard we were "spreading democracy".
Now that the public doesn't have the stomach to send troops anywhere, we're just sending equipment and money to "defend democracy". Military contractors and the politicians who support them want their perpetual war one way or another.

Wish we'd stay out of that shite. With our involvement, if Ukraine wins, we will portray the Ukrainian government as saints. We will whitewash every negative thing the Ukrainian government did.
