These morons specifically called out the I-10 Claiborne overpass in New Orleans as being up for their "tear down plan" due to it being purposefully built to divide the black community. Nevermind that it's a major fricking 6-lane interstate artery through the city that stays in grid-lock 75% of the time. But sure, lets tear it down and funnel all of that traffic down to 2 lanes with red lights every 150ft.


These people didn't even build roads in lego cities as a kid let alone be qualified to talk about roadway/traffic flow and design in major cities. Bunch of fricking clowns.

i think his reasoning is that the white kids would be in cars with their families and could safely pass under the bridge with no problems but that oppressed minorities would be more likely to be taking public transportation which wouldnt be able to fit under the bridge. i guess it's possible that this could have been the intent behind building the bridge low, but unless there is some sort of written documentation or evidence of this, it's more of the same ol' revisionist history and mind-reading of people from eighty years ago. there may have been some nefarious intent behind the bridge being built low, maybe not. but Petey says it's "clearly" racism, which is a ridiculous overstatement. one has to make a series of increasingly questionable leaps of logic to even get to it "maybe" being somehow racist. it's certainly not an example of CLEAR racism.
