Its hilarious going on a cordcutting forum

They are paying $50 for YoutubeTV, $15 for HBO Max, $12.99 for Netflix, $11.99 for Hulu, $7 for Disney Plus, we will say $8 for Prime Video

No one needs every option. Anyone buying more than 3-4 deserves to be in bad financial situations.

3 Services + PlutoTV and Other free options + HD Antenna/DVR service is about it. I do all of that for $75 bucks a month after some setup costs (Plex, In house Antenna recorder). I have every service to all TVs too.

I pay $45 for internet, $25 for sling, $8 for Netflix and $15 for HBO max.

That's more than enough content for the entire house and way less than $134.

does the digital antennas sling offers work well? Sling not having locals is my downfall to using them. Hulu has all my local channels.

I just have digital rabbit ears I watch the news with. I bought sling straight off the internet with no antenna.

NYC has stupid amount of free channels OTA so it works for me.

No. But I also pay for top tier internet, which is going to be pricey no matter the route. I also don't consider that a TV cost.
I'm saving 30-40 bucks per month on what would be the top tier package and I don't have to get multiple boxes like you would with Cable. And I have better interfaces, faster streams, and all the options I need.

Yep, I'm looking for alternatives as we speak. I don't need/want the additional crap Viacom/CBS channels that they are adding to justify their price increase.

MTV, VH1, etc. Like anyone watches that crap. MTV hasn't been good since the 90s.

At the time I ditched Cox, they wanted $90/month for basic cable.

Yep, Youtube TV is still significantly cheaper than Cox was for me (and it has the limitless recording). Every time I would cancel something with Cox they would increase something else. With that said, Youtube TV is starting to follow the regular cable mode of starting off with a good deal and making big increases for channels nobody really cares about (though it's much easier to cancel or pause youtube services and start them right back up compared to cable).

I will give it a try.

At first I wanted to support OANN and still do, but the ads are really annoying. Especially the endless sue the boy scouts one.

If I am going to get ads, i might as well see if I can get the channel free.
