If yes, what would they have done? Theyd still be pusses.

They vote out their freedom willingly and hand it to Government; why would they want guns to defend something they don’t want. Pretty much half of our population is beginning to believe the same way. DEI as a virtuous and just idea is persuasive in the feeling/abstract realm. Albeit herding cats is highly problematic.

Nah... for centuries they have lived under a culture and social hierarchy which served the "nobles"....
Sure, some would take up arms, but most would just devolve back into what their subjection to "the crown" ....IMHO

This is why guns won’t make a difference at the moment. The pendulum hasn’t swung far enough.
Once it does - usually through government tyranny - the citizens will demand freedom. That’s when it guns would make a difference.
In Europe they are still demanding more government. They’re a ways off.

So does that mean, although we have them we are even further away from using them? I dont include me in that “we”.

This is absolutely true. The "divine right of kings" is part of the DNA of most EU countries and the UK. Most of the EU sees Brussels as their new overlord.

Good Q. I’d guess just the possession of arms would preclude the development of total tyranny. At least I think that’s what the founders expected.

Wonder if these four coincidentally have the lowest occurrences of rape by immigrant?
