would the fact that an armed shooter was shot dead by armed personnel deter future shooters? ... if that happened once or twice, i'd be willing to bet it'd be 20 years before another shooting ...

No. They could just wait until the kids were in the parking lot. Similar to how the two kids did it in Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1998

Normally I'd agree with you, but this fricks job was to protect those kids. Not only was he too big a coward to do his job, he didn't even have the balls to eat his own bullet after listening to 17 people get slaughtered. frick him.
