'm a woman and I agree. Id trade my right to vote for the promise that a dem-prog would never hold elected office again, ever.
I'd let you vote given the choice
The truth is that I don't think that men are really fit for voting either. But don't tell anyone I said that

Rights aren't granted by documents. If something is a "right" then it is not arbitrarily defined by people who work in government. The same idiotic logic that determines that an 18 year old has the "right" vote in an election (assuming they've jumped through all the hoops) is the same logic I can use to deny that women should have the "right" to vote in an election.
The harder you argue that voting is a right granted by some magical document signed by a bunch of people who are not me, the easier it is for me to justify my stance that women shouldn't have the right.
The "right" to vote has never been a constant. Which makes it more of a privilege than anything else.
Lol ok. Then by your definition there are zero rights.

False.
The only legitimate and defensible rights are property rights. First and foremost, the right of self ownership.

Imagine how awesome it would be if idiots and crazy people weren't allowed to vote.
The "muh girl-penis!!!!111!!!!1" and "everything should be free, serious you guys!" folks would be totally silenced.

Yep. If they were simply crazy and not crazy + capable of voting for policies that impact everyone else, we wouldn't even care. Unfortunately they are capable of doing severe damage. Dumb.

And how was slavery established?
By that same method.

Obviously, if the right of self ownership were actually observed, we wouldn't be talking about slavery to begin with.
Just thought I'd point that out...

They vote more reasonably than another prominent block that likes to vote 90+% for one side over the other. There's clearly something off...

My wife doesn’t think women should be allowed to vote. Her basis is that they don’t keep up with things and vote based on stupid shite.

Yeah, we really fricked up in 1919

Shouldn't be driving either.

Been saying this forever - without the emotional input that women's vote brings out, we would still have a decent, moral, responsible, efficient form of governance. Throw in the "tug the heartstrings" element and we get the equivalent of High School "Cutest Boy" elections to real leadership positions.
For every sensible woman voter there are a half dozen 'super market tabloid' voters.

I agree with him. Only landowners should be allowed to vote.
