I can't believe I'm wasting my time on this:

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.

The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

I like how the bigots try to connect illegals, non-citizens, and felons to a conversation about citizens who just happen to have an opposing viewpoint. These people make Weinstein look like a saint.

I disagree with you here, but do think that once a person has paid his debt to society it is done and should be entitled to all rights and privileges as any other citizen.

That is just not the case. Any conviction these days is a life sentence of sorts. Even an arrest that results in an acquittal is forever.

Rights aren't granted by documents. If something is a "right" then it is not arbitrarily defined by people who work in government. The same idiotic logic that determines that an 18 year old has the "right" vote in an election (assuming they've jumped through all the hoops) is the same logic I can use to deny that women should have the "right" to vote in an election.

The harder you argue that voting is a right granted by some magical document signed by a bunch of people who are not me, the easier it is for me to justify my stance that women shouldn't have the right.

The "right" to vote has never been a constant. Which makes it more of a privilege than anything else.

I'm a woman and I agree. Id trade my right to vote for the promise that a dem-prog would never hold elected office again, ever.
