Woke suburban moms are taking shrooms

I always wanted to meet Princess Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom, and now I can.

Inflation keeps stealing a month's pay every time you turn around. Crime is rampant. Teachers' unions keep finding new ways to keep schools closed. Your husband might lose his job to the next woke fad, which you support, of course, because there's no room for dissent, and all your fellow suburban moms rededicate themselves to be down with the cause every other week. If you're a mom herding the kids through all this and life prior to 2019 left you unprepared to deal with any level of stress, what do you do?

Leave it to National Public Radio to put its finger on the pulse of what suburban moms are doing to cope with the stress of life under COVID, crime, war, and Joe Biden.

They're turning to microdosing illegal psychedelic mushrooms! By the thousands, reports NPR.

"I don't think that I would be nearly as present as I am right now had it not been for psychedelics and for the healing that I've gotten from it," one Denver mom named Ariel told NPR.

Comedian Tracy Tee says she's microdosing shrooms to deal with COVID lockdowns killing her career (but she won't blame Democrats who imposed the lockdowns, or China that still won't come clean about the origins of the virus, or unions shutting down her kid's school. "And we've moved past, I think, wanting to guzzle five bottles of wine. We're craving something deeper, and we're definitely craving community," Tee told NPR.

Community in mushrooms? Sounds like a Smurfs cartoon.

"Why can't we just legalize all drugs!?"

Because you create a society of rejects is why. Lest we mention Oregon.

Colorado votes to legalize psilocybin in November. I wander what these soccer moms talk about at soccer practice. "Wow! did you see that shooting star?" (in broad daylight)

Oprah's rise to influence over this group of empty-skulled dingbats cannot be underestimated in the decline of this country.

Microdosing shoots definitely has benefits. If that's what they want to do, I'm not caring one way or the other.

I believe in freedom to be able to make choices.

Another boon for Big Pharma.

It's obvious. The plan was never to cure, it was to medicate and address symptoms only.

If they're truly "micro" dosing it then they won't see things like that. In trace amounts it's really no different than any other type of anti-depressant, except that psilocybin is 100% natural.

I've got nothing against red wine, but I find Luke 9:23 to be a less fattening way to deal with stress:

quote:

Then he said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

That and tending to my flower beds.

Kids and husband need a sane mom not an oprah nor an NPR groupie.

ETA: I suppose the gubmint spies on this board have put another check mark by "Christian extremist."

I only saw one reference to micro dosing and I'm not sure how you truly micro dose until it's legal, regulated and has a USP stamp on it.

ETA - why don't they try micro dosing some street fentanyl and see how that works out?

Psilocybin is being used to treat depression. Mental illness is the main reason the women vote for democrats. They hate themselves so they take it out on white conservative men like the ones they married.

Trial and error mostly. You take a tiny amount. If you don't feel anything you take a tiny bit more, and then a tiny bit more, until you achieve whatever level you're going for.

Don't see why you need a government regulator to tell you.

ETA: In case you've never messed around in this arena, some additional info. You basically harvest the mushroom, dry it, and then crush the entire plant into a powder. From there, it's just a matter of measuring it out in milligrams. "Micro" dosing is usually less than 1mg. 3mg to 4mg will send a 200lb adult male into orbit.

Obviously to protect you from yourself...

However, I am for removing the training wheels and letting folks become a part of the natural selection process...

If we are going to legalize then we need to remove the government safety nets and programs that cost tons of money...

It is kind of like an article I was reading this weekend where they were mourning a 15 yo girl that was snorting something laced with Fentanyl and died... Lamenting the fact the drug she was snorting was laced with Fentanyl... Why is no one saying "well maybe a 15 yo should not be snorting drugs"?
