Mad town generally is the land of misfit toys. It’s fun to visit as I love capitol Brewery but yes. It has gotten Chicago and Milwaukee’s finest who have driven up the crime rate. The fat tatted up chicks with the pink hair, rimmed glasses and 5 cats are moving to Janesville from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin rather than Madison. Hence your good point that other counties bordering Dane are purple or light blue

Actually Wisconsin has turned a little purple from their blue past. Southern Wi got a boost from Illinois refugees who are moderates or republican voting. Northern Wisconsin minus the Superior area votes conservative big time. The turds in the swimming pool have always been Dane and Milwaukee counties.
