There are a few issues at play...
Hypocrisy and creating a weapon against opposition is high on the list
There’s also issues of feminism being a largely white washed movement nationally... there are only so many upper middle class white woman that are standing up for black teenage girls when they say they are feminists.
And there’s some degree of letting art fly while calling out real world behavior. A song, story, or truly well crafted comedy act shining a light on a reality should be handled differently than a jerk living said reality. (Only a minor aspect in most discussions I’ve heard)
