”Freedom of speech" cuts both ways. How long until conservatives push for "decency laws/blasphemy laws"? If the authoritative left is doing this what makes you think the authoritative right won't?

Most of the “authoritarian conservatives” on the right actually have jobs and don’t have time to police free speech on the internet

But since they're working Real Jobs (whatever that is) this means they're making Real Money which means they can pay someone to be their own Arbiter of Truth. Think Iran but Conservative Christian instead of Islam. I personally hope the uniforms for the Conservative Ministry of Truth are sick af

There is an authoritative right?

I guess you mean the ones who say men can’t become women, that the climate crisis is the biggest scam in history and that millions of illegals crossing the border is a bad thing?

Yes, you ign'ant boomer. What do you think Theocracy and Monarchy are? Saudi Arabia and Iran are prime examples of authoritative right. England prior to the English Civil War was authoritative right.

Do you think politics is just a sliding scale between communism liberty?

No, but apparently you do since that’s how you defined it.

It’s more of a circle, with a small minority of the right and a large majority of the left meet in an oppressive authoritarian means of control.

This is why they were so hard on bars, restaurants and gyms during covid.

Could have people freely talking where they couldn't control the flow of information.

Politics is actually a shitshow but to define it in using shapes it's more three dimensional than anything.

But that damn political compass is the simplest way to visualize anything political

If the left was any good at debating and the positions they defended were actually true, they would be championing free speech.

one problem at a time. Is it your view that because at some time in the future the authoritarian right might try and limit public speech public, we should ignore that the authoritarian left is doing it now? Seriously wtf is your point?

Politics is a sliding scale between communism and liberty.
That's why Theocracy, Monarchy, Saudi Arabia and Iran are closer to communism. They are all dictatorships. They all hate liberty.

I think you’re essentially correct, but it’s difficult to express 3 dimensions in a 2D format.

The biggest problem with the political compass is only one side the majority loves authoritarian policies and hates individual freedom with the passion of 1000 suns. That isn’t the right

The left loves their whataboutisms. Let’s ignore the gigantic elephant in the room and pin all the problems of society on very small fringe right wing groups
