Why the hell isn't Trump and GOP doing anything about permitting reform?

Desperately needed in this country. Yet no movement whatsoever even though they know it needs to be done.

That is overwhelmingly a local/state issue.
Certainly, compliance with some federal regs (OSHA, EPA) plays a role, but it's still a state/local issue

Are you aware that the Supreme Court ruled in the Sackett case and the proposed guidance to redefine Waters of the US was proposed last year and we should see a final rule soon? It will significantly reduce the wetlands and waterbodies that fall within the jurisdiction of the USACE.
Also, there was an executive order issued for energy projects, and I received a Nationwide permit from the USACE on one project in less than a month last year, which is unheard of.
