Why is Steve Bannon Racist?

Someone clear this up for me.
As I understand it, he was an editor at Breitbart. During that time, he published many articles from "stringers" (freelance journalists). None of these articles were ever deemed racist. However, one of these stringers had apparently written a story for a completely different publication at one time, and that story was considered by some people to be racist. Therefore, Steve Bannon is a racist. And Breitbart.
Is that it?
Speaking of Breitbart, I follow them on FB. But I never get any of their stuff in my feed. I'm pretty sure they are being shadow banned.
And why do I still have FB? Civic organizations that only communicate via FB because nobody does newsletters or websites anymore.

My HOA communicates solely through FB. When is the pool open. When is the pool closing. Issue at the lake. vote on this. Vote on that. FB Live for all the HOA meetings.
That's just one example of why I still have to use FB.
I asked them to find some other way and they said sure, figure it out for us and run it for us and we'll use it. It was a nice way of telling me to piss off.
Regarding twitter, never have, never will. It's truly useless.
