What I find funny, is that trumps supporters see no issue with this. But those are the same bitches that want to string up HRC......oh the irony.

I trust you can understand my skepticism when presented with counterfactual information that is secret and unrevealable, given that the public information points toward Russian involvement.

There's nothing secret about it. I don't need to fall back on that.

I'll ask again. How was the information obtained?

Lets be honest here, neither one of us has a transcript of that call- but I would be willing to wager that's not exactly how that phone call went.

It probably went something more like "Mr so in so, please don't me mad at president mr trump, I promise once he gets in office he is going to lift the sanctions".

All of their "factual reporting" is based on anonymous sources and innuendo.

Their reporting nailed the Flynn story or he wouldn't have been fired.

Oh no! Talking to the leaders of another world power!! THey're another major player. We need good relations with them, not matter how bad it hurts the 1980s action flick plot lines

Thats an absolute statement you're making based on nothing.

We have never witnessed an administration with more ties to Russia than Trump.

Again, means nothing except maybe we can loose some of the tension thats been between our two nations since as far back as anyone cares to remember.

This isnt a movie dude.

Russian intelligence agents aren't "leaders of another world power!!"

Because it's who he lied to and what he lied about. Not that he lied. If he'd told the same lie to the Democrats when being questioned, there would be zero repercussions. See Clapper's lies during his Congressional testimony.

No problem with what? There has been no evidence tying him to anything illegal.

Trumplethinskin probably has no idea what the Logan Act is. He is, without a doubt, the most uninformed individual to hold this office in my lifetime. Most of the time he looks like a deer in the headlights. When he tries to answer questions, he is exactly like a high school kid trying to present a project that he didn't do. Lots of generalizations, repetitions, and the predictable chorus of how much more he knows that anybody else, followed by "Believe me."

He may know business, but he doesn't have the basic knowledge of 10th grade civics, much less the nuances of something like the Logan Act.

Why not? Specifically tell me your reasons why cordial foreign relations with Russia isn't a good thing?

The fact that the Russians did interfere in the election is beyond dispute, according to five intelligence agencies.

By interfere do you mean release emails showing a systemic pattern of fraud and intimidation by the Democratic party?

Revealing the shady and sometimes illegal tactics of the democratic party was wrong but not those actual. Actions?

Coupled with the allegations of Russian ties to the trump campaign, and trumps sudden admiration for Russia, it raises some eyebrows.

Why? Why is it bad? Not one person in this thread has said why it's bad to talk to Russia.

Anyone?

Because their national strategic goals work counter to our own and they have been adamant in not shifting from them? So to form a completely cordial relationship would require turning a blind eye to actions that harm our own national interest.

Let me turn this around on you, why do we not seek completely cordial relationships with Iran or North Korea?

These are not comparable. At all. On any level.

You think Russia, a global superpower with a permanent seat in the UN security council, is equal to Iran and North Korea?

You are missing the point of the question.

Russia, like Iran and North Korea, pursue geopolitical strategies that work counter to our national interests. It is not an attempt to equivocate. It is to illustrate that the same reason you would not expect completely cordial relationships with Iran or North Korea, is the same underlying reason that completely cordial relations with Russia are unrealistic and pursuing them above all else unwise.
