They're going to have wealth of natural resources. You do realize they already have this and are a poor shithole, right?

Their GDP ranking of Russia has went from #4 in 1992 to #11 in 2022.... 144 million people and they are failing as a nation.
Ask Europe who is ranked where in gdp after this winter. Sometimes being too reliant on other people/countries put you in a bad place economically. Germany officials laughed when they were told not to be so reliant on Russian energy. Who is laughing now and who will be laughing in the future.

Name all of the resources Russia has in order of quantity without using Google in under 30 seconds.

At what point in Imperial Europe was Russia not considered a backwater? What time frame, what actions (trade deals, treaties, marriages, etc.) defends your argument?

No it's not
How many F22s and F35s piloted by American pilots are in the conflict?
How many aircraft carriers?

I think Russia's invasion is going to lead to a course correction there in Western Europe, FWIW.
That doesn't speak to Russia managing its resources well. They've been a huge petro producer/exporter for decades and are poor as shite. You have to try to get that outcome.

It's simple.
Ukraine would vastly improve the wealth of any nation that possessed it.
To argue against this is useless.

quote:
Russia stopped being considered a backwater in the early 1700s under Peter the Great. The key moment was winning the Great Northern War (1700–1721) against Sweden, which gave Russia access to the Baltic and made it a major European power. St. Petersburg was founded in 1703 as a modern, Western-style capital, symbolizing Russia’s shift toward Europe. Peter also modernized the military, built alliances through royal marriages, and expanded trade. By 1721, Russia was officially an empire, and European powers recognized it as a major player.

Yet they’re out producing our combined defense sectors, while pursuing a guns and butter strategy

This was already explained to you, you replied ignorantly, then ran.
Russia threatened to use nukes, which is their SOP when they fear losing. This has thwarted direct NATO/US involvement for the most part and permitted Russia to play war as if it was WWI.
Yes, they can out-produce us in a style of war that we would never fight, that would be routed quickly by modern warfare.
Again, I'll ask you:
How many F35s piloted by Americans are in Ukraine? F22s? Aircraft carriers? Our superior navy? 0.0. So yeah we're not going to do well when the backbone of our strategy isn't being used. We don't rely on the "out last them with our infinite meat suits" strategy that is the Russian way.

The static front is a technology issue, we would have the same problem

Lies...Russia's economy has increased during the War.
DEBUNKING Ursula's mantra about 'failing' Russian economy
EU Commission President, who claims the EU sanctions are seriously hurting the Russian economy, might want to look at some COLD HARD FACTS instead of Western propaganda for a change.
1??Russia has overtaken Japan to become the 4th LARGEST ECONOMY in the world (PPP).
2??Russia’s GDP grew by 4.1% in Q2 2024, OUTPERFORMING GERMANY, which saw a 0.3% contraction in 2023.
3??Russia’s unemployment rate hit a HISTORIC LOW of 2.3%, compared to 3.6% in the U.S. and over 11% in Spain.
4??Russia’s budget deficit is just 1.7% of GDP, far LOWER THAN THE US at 5.8%
