Why is it not OK for two leaders to meet one-on-one?

Can someone explain to me without sky-screaming why two leaders meeting one-on-one is a bad thing? Have no other two leaders in modern history met one-on-one before? It seems like this is commonplace.
I fail to see why this is a huge problem and why liberals are automatically assuming this is proof that Trump is Putin's puppet.
