Flake didn’t change his mind. He voted for the committee motion today to approve Kavanaugh’s nomination and send it to the full senate for a vote.

Mission accomplished.

All Flake did was say during a point of personal privilege that he would be comfortable and to “help bring the country together,” if before the whole senate voted on the nomination a “limited in scope investigation by the FBI not to exceed one week” would be held. It wasn’t a motion and Flake didn’t issue an ultimatum.

Lindsay Graham and Grassley told him it was not up to the committee to tell the senate leadership when to hold a vote.

Cause it was a set up and he was in the sham. He had to look like he had a reason to be the cuck that he is. He is useless.

Flake made it clear this was not his final vote. Said it himself. He desperately wants the FBI to say “all clear” first.

Yes. But, why. He is not up for re-election and is leaving the Senate. He is certainly not a liberal progressive. Earlier this morning, he posted on his website that he was voting to confirm Kavanaugh. He is a Mormon with conservative views. What changed? The confrontation in the elevator with the hysterical paid agitator or his interactions with Coons and the rest of the Democrats on the committee? It was something more than the elevator mau mauing. He really looked like someone had run over his dog in that committee room.

And that’s exactly what he did today.

Yes. In committee. But, with a proviso that he would not do so on the floor unless there were an investigation by the FBI into current credible allegations that would take no more than one week. Something made him make his “Aye” vote on the floor conditional. It was something the Democrats, through Coon, laid out for him, not the street theater in the lift. And, it was not idle chit chat. The guy is leaving government and doesn’t need votes or approval.
