A brief history of Zionism:

Prior to the 1880s, most European Jews believed in the integration of Jewish people into the various states in which they lived. Then, two books, Self-Determination (1882) and The Jewish State (1896) popularized the notion of a Jewish state based on claims of a 2000 year old divine right.

The author of the second book, Theodore Heizl, tried to get Turkey to break international law and allow them leave to occupy Palestine, a real and actual and magical place that everyone but the idiots in this thread agree existed, including the Jews. Rejected on this front, Britain offered Uganda, which never received much enthusiasm. However, over 20,000 Jews had already occupied territories in the region in what was known as the First Aliya. Others would follow, notably in 1905 when Jewish communists failed to take over Russia and left.

Then, the dehumanization campaign began. In 1914, future Israeli president and total piece of shite Chaim Weizmann declared Palestine "a country without a people for a people without a country." As catchy as that was, it ignored the fact that Palestine was fully occupied by Arab residents of EXTREMELY long standing. But hey, they don't have a genuine, licensed and officially bonded (tm) country, so frick them. And now you know why I laugh my arse off when you thistledicks make comparisons to native Americans.

First Israeli President Chaim Weizmann called the act "a miraculous clearing of the land" though no one could figure out why, since there's nothing miraculous about the fact that when you shoot people, they tend to die.
